We are honoured that Just Eat It is being recognized with two more awards nominations! These are particularly special because they allow our film to cross the borders into the worlds of mainstream journalism and food.
First, Just Eat It has been selected as a finalist for the Scripps Howard Award for Environmental Reporting. It’s quite an honour to be in the top three in this category alongside “Exxon: The Road Not Taken” (Inside Climate News) and “Chemical Harvest” (Chicago Tribune). Congrats to the team behind “Exxon: The Road Not Taken” for their win!
Established in 1953, the Scripps Howard Foundation’s national journalism competition is open to news organizations based in the United States (we qualified through our broadcast on MSNBC) and recognizes outstanding print, broadcast and online journalism in 15 categories.
Secondly, Just Eat It is also up for a James Beard Award. These are like the “Oscars of Food” people! Congrats to our fellow finalists For Grace and The Starfish Throwers. Winners will be announced in New York at the end of April. I wonder if they’ll be serving rescued food at the gala 😉
